Stop Media Ban is a campaign started by journalists and media representatives in Moldova following the ban over several TV channels and media outlets that started in 2022 and continues to this day.

Since December 2022, Moldovan government has shut down 13 TV channels and dozens media outlets without judicial oversight. 

In July 2022, Slava Radulov, a reporter at the regional independent news portal nokta.md, was expelled from covering a public parliamentary meeting.   

According to the Democracy Index 2022 of the Economist Intelligence Unit, Moldova has flawed democracy and ranks 69 out of 167 countries with a score of 6.23 out of 10
